This is how the attendees experienced the 9th America Digital Tech & Business Congress Mexico 2024. The event brought together 4,557 leading executives in innovation and digital transformation across 5 conference halls, 20,000 m² of Expo tradeshow, and networking areas for 1-on-1 meetings.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On June 19 and 20, the 9th America Digital Tech & Business Congress Mexico 2024 took place at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

Held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the event served as a platform to connect 4,557 leading executives in innovation, technology, business, and digital transformation from 22 countries.

Attendees participated in 90 conferences structured across 5 specialized forums and in the 20,000+ m² of the America Digital Expo, which gathered over 105 global and local exhibitors.

During two days of inspiration, 2,527 1-on-1 business meetings were conducted through the App in the official networking areas.

The event generated an economic impact of US $100 million in the digital economy of Mexico and Central America.

Inauguration of the America Digital Congress

During two incredible days of networking, inspiration, technology, business, and trends, attendees connected with leaders from global and regional companies who shared experiences and innovations to aid the implementation of digital transformation in the region.

Lucero Álvarez, journalist and editorial director of the magazine Acciones of the Mexican Stock Exchange, welcomed the attendees of the Congress and introduced Lesley Robles, director of America Digital.

In his inaugural speech, Robles presented the event program that connects the entire region and aims to drive the growth of Latin America.

“This congress provides us with the opportunity to connect and explore various technological solutions that will allow us to advance both at a business level and as a society.

“The purpose of the Congress is to maximize networking, share experiences, and find strategic partners. All attendees say they do more business in two days than in an entire year,” said Lesley Robles.

Subsequently, the director presented the dynamics of the Congress with its four specialized forums:

Over two days, 4,557 executives from 22 countries participated in 2,527 1-on-1 business meetings with specific business objectives.

They also had the opportunity to explore the exhibition floor and meet with experts from AnyDesk, Mastercard, Invest in El Salvador, Zoho, Bizagi, IENTC TD SYNNEX, ZPE Systems, ManageEngine, Defontana, Okta, Liferay, Partoo, Fortinet, AT&T Business, Teracloud, Yalo, Bright Data, monday.com, Seguridad América, NULogic, and other 100 disruptive companies from the region.

International Seminar

After officially opening the event, Lucero Álvarez introduced the International Seminar. The first conference was led by Erika Piirmerts, Digital Transformation Adviser at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre.

Piirmets spoke about the advancements in Estonia’s government digitalization process in recent years and the implementation of the latest technologies in their administrative processes.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Alarcón H,, Chief Data Officer of ITALIKA and one of Mexico’s top 100 CIOs according to Forbes magazine, discussed the transformation of vehicle manufacturing with disruptive technologies.

At ITALIKA , robotics, AI, and data drive efficiency, innovation, and customer experience to lead the future of mobility,” Mauricio explained during his presentation, explained Mauricio.

Mitch Lowe, Co-Founding Senior Executive of Netflix, attracted a large number of attendees to Olmeca IV Hall to hear his conference: Culture of Innovation: The Birth and Rise of Netflix.

Lowe narrated how the idea of creating Netflix emerged in the 1990s, after witnessing the decline of video rental stores and the anticipation of an innovative product in a time of significant change.

He also explained the transformation that the company has undergone in response to the emergence of new technologies and the need to adapt the business to disrupt these innovations.

The final conference was delivered by Rodolfo Rigante, CIO of L’Oréal Latin America, who presented the transformation of the company and the beauty industry through the use of new technologies.

In his conference L’Oréal Group: The #1 Beauty Tech in the World, the executive spoke about the disruption in the beauty company, not only in its internal processes but also in user experience, thanks to the application of technological innovations.

Connectivity and processing capacity are the most important technologies, complemented by digital twins, IoT, cloud computing, virtual reality, and augmented reality, to create this new world within beauty.

C-Level Forum AI & Digital Transformation

The rapid growth of artificial intelligence in Latin American businesses is generating increasingly relevant and interesting content for decision-makers.

Its applications have expanded into various areas such as customer service, marketing, cloud computing, and data analytics, implemented in companies across diverse industries including food, healthcare, construction, real estate, retail, and others.

As a result, this year the forum changed its name to the AI & Digital Transformation Forum and featured two halls with simultaneous conferences over two days, during which experts shared solutions, innovations, and applications of disruptive technologies.

Lucero Álvarez, journalist and editorial director from director of the magazine of the Mexican Stock Exchange, presented Forum A. On the first day, Zoho, Blip, Bright Data, Cloudflare, Liferay, Fortinet and Formula 1 Miami participated in the forum.

On the second day of the Congress, 22 conferences were held simultaneously in the two halls of the forum, where speakers analyzed trends in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

In the morning, in Hall A, participants explored applications of artificial intelligence, from chatbots to the management and analysis of large volumes of data.

Speakers also reviewed new implementations in cybersecurity, addressing the increasing threats to businesses, as well as the use of Google tools for more effective digital transformation.

In Hall B, the program started with a conference on the internet usage habits of Mexicans. It then continued with discussions on the implementation and use of AI in businesses and industries, as well as the ethical considerations surrounding these and other technologies.

Speakers also explored the resilience of cities in the face of the ongoing digital transformation worldwide, and the security measures that companies, users, and governments must adopt for remote connections.

After a brief break, both forums resumed activities for the second part of the Congress, leading up to the closing session.

In Hall A, participants discussed compliance issues in light of the changing use of new technologies and shifts in work methods and administrative processes.

They also analyzed the use of artificial intelligence applied to cloud computing, customer experience, and governmental services, where Estonia is at the forefront.

During the afternoon conferences, in Hall B, speakers discussed the risks of cloud usage, data analysis, and qualitative use in decision-making.

Additionally, they reviewed the application of technologies to enhance user experience. The forum concluded with a panel on the evolution of artificial intelligence in different industries.

C-Level Digital Banking & Fintech Forum

With the kickoff of the event and specialized forums, attendees enjoyed the C-Level Digital Banking & Fintech Forum over two days.

Luciana Wainer, journalist and news anchor in Mexico, moderated the forum where Mastercard, nuam, Euronet Worldwide, Biometría Aplicada, one of the Top 10 Global Fintech Influencers, as well as Stripe, RappiCard, Kueski, and FintechU participated on the first day.

During this series of conferences, speakers addressed the use of generative artificial intelligence to enhance customer experience, the application of biometrics in the banking sector, financial inclusion, and the use of blockchain in transforming stock exchanges.

The last two conferences focused on the Fintech sector: on one hand, they presented trends in this industry, emphasizing collaboration as a decisive factor in ecosystem formation

On the other hand, panel members analyzed the current landscape of the Fintech ecosystem and its rapid growth in Mexico and Latin America, as well as the role of digital payments in the development of national economies.

On Day 2 of the Foro de Digital Banking & Fintech, a diverse program on financial topics featured speakers from Mexico, the United States, and Latin America, sharing their experiences with attendees at the World Trade Center and the audience following the program through the app.

BBVA, Okta, Alquimia Pay, MercadoPago, Kapital Bank, Bineo, Bloomberg Línea , Banco Azteca, Bazz App, Citibanamex y Actinver participated in these sessions.

Sergio Torres Lebrija, Head of Sustainability & Part at BBVA, spoke about the digital transformation that the banking industry and its users have undergone, especially in transactions.

Meanwhile, Zeus López, CISO of Banco Azteca, addressed the new trends in attacks and fraud targeting banks and their clients, as well as the organizations’ demands for cybersecurity to become part of their culture.

The speakers also discussed biometric identity and the role of Fintech in the nearshoring trend happening in Mexico and Latin America.

With a full conference room, participants of the Neobanks Panel discussed the transformation of Fintech into a banking institution and the new figures that banks have created for new digital banks.

Finally, in the panel on artificial intelligence applied to banking, the participants analyzed the use of this new tool in banking, particularly to enhance customer experience. The panelists emphasized that, now more than ever, the industry is willing to invest in these solutions.

C-Level 5G, IoT & Telco Forum

This specialized forum was held on June 20 and was presented by journalist Octavio Castillo Collins.

Throughout the day, speakers addressed the topics of connectivity and IoT in industries in Mexico; digital infrastructure and the 5G network landscape; as well as the transformation of telecommunications.

The forum had two high-level panels. The first panel analyzed the impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) within industries in Mexico, as well as the new technologies being applied across various industries.

America Digital Congress welcomed over 4,557 attendees with a state-of-the-art setup on the third floor of the World Trade Center.

The America Digital team meticulously managed every aspect of the setup and production across the 20,000 square meters of the event space, ensuring we met our event’s goal: to connect the region’s decision-makers.

The Congress greeted attendees with different graphical elements, while the registration team ensured a smooth and efficient entry process for all participants to enjoy the event.

For two days, companies showcased their solutions in an innovative space. At the same time, attendees enjoyed comfortable areas and cutting-edge technology, enabling them to fully engage in all the activities offered at the Congress.

1-on-1 Business Meetings

In this edition of the America Digital Congress Mexico, 2,527 1-on-1 business meetings took place over the course of two days.

Through the digital application, attendees were able to schedule their meetings and connect with C-Level executives, decision-makers, and representatives from the most important companies in Mexico and Central America.

The economic impact of these meetings amounts to US$100 million in the digital economy of Mexico and Central America, thanks to the business transactions facilitated during these days at the Congress.

During the 9th America Digital Congress Mexico 2024, America Digital News TV conducted exclusive live interviews with the speakers featured in the program, reaching its 145,000 subscribers across Latin America and 150,000 in the United States.
