René joined Fiserv in 2009, during the last 10 years he led Fiserv’s business in Latin America to improve client results with an understanding of their key business needs and requests. Currently, he is responsible for strategic planning, execution, and business management for Fiserv in Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He has extensive expertise in customer service, technology solutions, business development, and project and program management. 

His position at Fiserv enables him to serve financial institutions with core banking, card management and transactional processing, financial risk management, cash & logistics, and enterprise content management solutions, as well as digital channel solutions. Previously, he was Vice President of Sales and Client Relations, where he was responsible for relationship management and business development with clients.

He worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and held different leadership positions in sales management. In EDS he was in charge of the Sales Support department in the Mexican market, where he developed strategies for territory planning, accounts, sales, and outsourcing operations for financial institutions.

René also collaborated with the company Ariba, where he developed diverse business projects that were able to support several emerging businesses in the technology industry. He began his professional career in recognized financial institutions, such as BBVA and Citibank.

He holds a degree in Computer Sciences from La Salle University and a Diploma in BA from the  Business School of the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM for its Spanish acronym).
