José Luis Peralta Higuera, with more than 38 years of experience in Telecommunications and Information Technologies, was Commissioner of the Federal Telecommunications Commission from 2006 to 2013. During his management, he led important regulatory projects such as Number Portability and the Fundamental Interconnection Plan . Founder of Entuizer, S.A. de C.V., advised on the implementation of constitutional reforms in telecommunications of 2013. Currently, since May 2022, he has headed the Digital Transformation Coordination of the Federal Telecommunications Institute.

Digital Infrastructure Agenda: a comprehensive public policy proposal

The conference highlights the critical importance of a digital infrastructure to address connectivity challenges in Mexico. It analyzes the challenges in regulation and highlights its impact on the country’s development by making possible the adoption of digital technologies and participation in the global economy, thanks to an articulated digital ecosystem and significant connectivity. This public policy proposal seeks to address pending challenges and take advantage of the potential of digital infrastructure as an engine of growth and development in the country and the region.
